Are the supplements effective in the treatment of hair loss?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 27-year-old male. My hair is thinning, and my scalp becomes visible in some areas when it is greasy. After washing, my scalp is not visible anywhere. I consulted a general physician who prescribed me Finasteride and a Folicogen supplement. However, I am still not exactly sure what the underlying problem is. I notice some hair loss, up to about 10 hairs a day, especially when my hair is greasy. I have not started taking Finasteride because I am concerned that if I stop it later, the shedding will resume.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

It appears to be a male pattern hair loss.

The cause could be hormonal or genetic influence.

  1. Exercise regularly to keep the hormonal balance intact.

  2. Apply Folirich hair growth serum or Q sera hair serum (Butylene glycol) at night for three months.

  3. Tablet Zincovit once a day after dinner for 30 days.

  4. Use mild anti-hairfall shampoo twice weekly for six weeks.

  5. Increase protein intake in your diet.

  6. Eliminate stress.

Take the following tests:

  1. Serum ferritin levels.

  2. Vitamin B12 and D3 levels.

  3. Calcium levels.

Attach reports to assess so can guide you further.

I hope this helps.

Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.

Thank you.
