Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am an 18-year-old male and have been masturbating since I was thirteen. Now, when someone asks me to expose my penis, I do not get an erection. What should I do?
Thank you.

Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
According to your complaints, you may be suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED).Reasons for erectile dysfunction (ED) can be:
Stress due to work or family-related night duties; plan for regular exercise and yoga.
Depression (involves a depressed mood or loss of pleasure or interest in activities for long periods of time).
Varicocele: An ultrasound of the scrotum can help diagnose it.
Fear of failure: having one episode of ED once may make you feel you will end up with ED.
Low self-esteem and chronic masturbation.
Homosexuality: not attracted to the same sex.
Religious constraints.
Habits like smoking and alcohol.
Long-term illness—cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other disease with long-term medication.
Simple vitamin deficiency— For simple deficiency, I suggest using the tablets Zincovit (zinc supplements) and Shelcal (Calcium supplements).
Negative attitude towards your partner.
Hormonal issue: thyroid issue, low testosterone, increased prolactin.
Long-term drug usage.
Diabetes (a disease of inadequate control of blood levels of glucose).
Hypertension (when the pressure in your blood vessels is too high (140/90 mmHg or higher).
Here are some of the tests you need to check: Doppler penis (penile Doppler sonography is an essential tool for differentiating between vascular and nonvascular causes of ED); USG (ultrasonography) Pelvis (a pelvic ultrasound allows quick visualization of the female pelvic organs and structures, including the uterus, cervix, vagina, fallopian tubes, ovaries, and scrotum); blood pressure; RBS (random blood sugar); free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine); TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), and testosterone.
Share more details regarding the above reasons, and we can work on diagnosis and treatment. You need to plan for regular exercise and a proper diet. I suggest the following:
The list of exercises includes basic exercises like knees, squats, yoga, running, or fast walking for five minutes.
Food: strawberry, apple, avocado, sweet potato, sesame seed, almond, garlic, and little chocolate.
For a temporary solution, you can use Tablet Mildfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice a day. Consult your doctor and take medicines accordingly.
I hope this helps.
Kindly revert in case of further queries.
Thank you.
