Why am I having health issues after stopping masturbation?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have done hand practice regularly for two years, but I have stopped for the last two years. At this time, I am facing many issues, such as reaction issues, spermatorrhea, and white drops after urination or talking on the phone with my girlfriend. I am also experiencing hair loss, hair whitening, eyesight weakness, weight loss, and skin damage. What should I do?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Masturbation is a normal and healthy sexual activity, and doing it in the past does not cause long-term health problems. The symptoms you are describing, white drops after urine (which are often normal urethral discharge or semen leakage), hair loss, premature greying, weak eyesight, weight loss, skin issues, or reaction problems, are not caused by masturbation. These are common myths.

White drops after urination can sometimes be normal prostatic fluid or mild urethral discharge, especially if there is sexual stimulation. Hair loss and greying are usually related to genetics, stress, nutrition, or hormonal factors. Weak eyesight is not related to sexual activity. Weight loss and skin problems may be due to diet, stress, thyroid issues, anemia, or other medical conditions.

In your case, these symptoms are very unlikely to be caused by your past masturbation. I would suggest basic investigations such as:

  • Complete blood count.

  • Thyroid profile.

  • Blood sugar.

  • Vitamin B12.

  • Vitamin D levels to rule out common deficiencies.

Also, focus on proper diet, sleep, exercise, and stress control. If anxiety about past masturbation is causing fear, reassurance is important because guilt itself can worsen symptoms. Also, let me know the following so that I can guide you better.

  • Are you currently under significant stress or anxiety?

  • Have you noticed burning during urination or any pain?

I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at iCliniq.

Thank you.
