Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

When did this start? Is it consistent? May I know your job? Do you have good sleep? Did you have head trauma or frequent headaches? How about mood problems? Regarding memory problems, we must investigate the source so that we can specifically manage your symptom.

Thank you.

Hello doctor,

I have been facing this issue for a year. But I did not pay much attention to this as I thought it was normal until it started getting worse. No, I do not have frequent headaches but a week ago I had a headache for two days continuously. Nowadays I am getting sad a lot over small things. And suddenly my mood changed from sad to happy after a phone call. I never smoke. I never take stress or have anxiety problems. But I am extremely forgetful. I randomly forget the names of songs, movies, actors, and sometimes my distinct friends' names. If I cooked something new and I have to cook tomorrow I do not remember the recipe at all even after cooking it three to four times. I am a CA aspirant and study a lot but I am not able to recall as I used to earlier. So I am working as a CA assistant and it is affecting my work too much. My boss teaches me something and next time I do not remember how to do it. I have done the work a lot of times but am still not able to remember. Sometimes I do not remember the name of the company where my brother works. It is affecting me. What should I do?

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I see that it already affects your work. You have to go to a dementia specialist or the memory center. You will undergo a battery of tests for the domains of cognition such as memory attention problem solving etc. A family member or a friend who knows you well will also be interviewed regarding their observation. Given the information above regarding your mood, if you think it is affecting you, you can seek consultation also with a psychiatrist. A sad mood causes poor memory too.

Thank you.
