Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 42-years-old. Over the past few months, my periods have become irregular. A few months it is on time and sometimes I do not get it for two to three months. Though I get periods-like symptoms during the cycle when periods is due, I do not get my periods. I feel very bloated when the cycle is delayed. Ultrasound shows no abnormalities. I take tablet Thyronorm 25 mcg since my last pregnancy three years ago. TSH levels are within the normal range. Kindly suggest a remedy for regularizing period.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query. If all investigations are normal then I suggest you to take the following medicines for one month. This will help you with your problem. I suggest you continue taking your thyroid medications.

I suggest the following,

1) Tablet Raj parvartini vati (Kanya (Aloe vera), Kaseesa (Purified Blue Vitriole), Tankana (Borax)) one tablet two times a day with water after food for one month.

2) Aloe Vera juice one tablespoon with an equal amount of water two times a day after food for one month.

3) Syrup Evecare (Ashoka, Dashamoola, Lodhra) two teaspoons with water after food for one month.

Do walk daily at least for 30 to 60 minutes a day. Do not take curd or buttermilk after evening time. Avoid excessive intake of tea, coffee, or cold drinks if you do. Follow these points regularly and wait for the next cycle. Stop taking your medicine when your periods arrive. Consult me or a nearby ayurveda physician after one month regarding improvement and for further management.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Stay safe and healthy.

Regarding follow up

After one month.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your concern.

I have been taking the suggested medication. I got my period after two months. Should I continue taking the medications? I stopped taking them since the first day of my period. Please suggest ayurvedic medicines for managing thyroid problems. I am taking 25 mcg of Thyronorm.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query. I suggest you continue these medicines for the next cycle. Stop taking these medications when your periods arrive. You can restart taking Syrup Evecare and Aloe vera juice in the same quantity as suggested earlier. On the 22nd day of your cycle you can restart the Tablet Raj parivartini vati in the dose of one tablet two times a day with water after food till your periods start. When your periods come then stop taking this tablet. Continue all the lifestyle changes as advised earlier. It will help you in the regularization of your periods.

As you have been taking thyroid medicines regularly, I will not suggest you to leave them. But I suggest you to add Tablet Giloy (Tinospora Cordifolia) to your daily regimen. Take Tablet Giloy one tablet two times a day with water after food for one month. It will help you in maintaining your normal thyroid hormone levels. Once your periods gets regular then I suggest stopping that medicine and adding some more medicine for the maintenance of your thyroid hormone levels. Consult me after you get your periods. Also, share your recent thyroid function test reports and the reports of any other investigations if done. Wishing you good health and happiness.

Thank you.

Regarding follow up
