Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a mother of a four-year-old kid. Motherhood is putting me into a lot of questions every day. I am too anxious about my child's health. I want him to stay healthy throughout his life. Since new viruses are taking turns, I am just curious. I was reading an article about the monkeypox virus, and I have a few questions about it. How serious is the monkeypox virus? What are the chances of children developing this infection? How can I protect my kid from getting this infection?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Currently, there are no cases in our country, hence fewer chances of getting infected with the monkeypox virus. However, avoiding direct contact with infected people and practicing hand hygiene protects you from getting it. Usually, it is a less severe disease, with complete recovery in two to four weeks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
