How can one cope with anger issues that occur due to a hormonal imbalance?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My friend had attempted suicide a few months ago. I had admitted him to the hospital, and he is alive. I remember every detail of this incident, and I am not able to forget it even after six months. I have an ovarian cyst and am taking medications. I have also become short-tempered. How to cure this? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. An ovarian cyst is a common disorder and is caused due to an imbalance in various sex hormones in the body. These hormones also control our mood and behavior. So, this may be the reason for your short temper. Also, there is a chance that you are suffering from a psychiatric illness. I suggest you consult a psychiatrist for a definitive diagnosis.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
