Medical Conditions - Nasal Splint

A nasal splint is a small medical device made of plastic or silicone used to retain the shape of the nose after nose surgeries like rhinoplasty. It is of two types, namely the internal and external nasal splints. Internal nasal splints are placed inside the nostrils secured with sutures, Whereas the external nasal splints are placed outside the nose attached with bandages or skin adhesives. The type of splint to be worn is suggested depending upon the type of nose surgery the patient underwent.
