Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My partner and I have indulged in sexual activity several times. But this time, even after successful penetration, I felt some pain. The pain was too much, and I was unable to walk. I am feeling dizzy, nauseous, and having chills. I want to know if there is any issue with this. Please help me to figure it out.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
The pain can be due to the following reasons:
Infection - The common cause is urinary tract infection. You can use the tablet Nitrofurantoin 100 mg twice a day after food for five days. If pain persists, use the tablets Aceclofenac, and Paracetamol twice a day after food for three days.
Sexually transmitted infection - You need to plan for investigation.
Balanitis – Redness of Glans penis (tip of your penis), itching, irritation, discharge, unpleasant smell, tight foreskin. It can be due to an allergy to soap, bacterial infection, fungal infection, or sex with a new partner. Local application of steroids with antifungal or antibacterial cream with proper hygiene will help you. Circumcision can be done for recurrent infection if not done.
Prostatitis - Inflammation of the prostate gland due to infection, injury, or inflammation. Need to do an ultrasound of the pelvis to know the cause.
Urethritis - Inflammation or infection of the urethra
Renal calculi can cause painful erection.
Peyronie's disease - Scar tissue inside the penis causing a painful erection. Please share pictures of the erect penis for confirmation.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
Regards.
