Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My child is four years of age and he is very nauseous. He vomits whenever he goes to the washroom in public places. Any type of odd smell makes him vomit. Why so?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for consulting.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

It is important to rule out any underlying cause for vomiting, before labeling it as a behavioral problem. I suggest a detailed examination and investigation for vomiting with your pediatrician. If no cause is apparent, then consultation with a psychologist and a developmental specialist will be helpful. I also suggest not to use antiemetic medications without knowing the cause of it, unless he is having dehydration or other physical problems.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
