Q. What is the effective treatment for patients with midthoracic and neck pain along with neck rotation difficulties?

I am having midthoracic pain on the right side and neck pain. I cannot rotate my neck fully to the right side as the pain become unbearable. What should I do?

- Use a low cotton pillow.
- Lie straight.
- Do not place your arm under your head.
- Get a chest and a cervical spine x-ray.
- Maintain strict posture.
- Use cervical support.
- Use an analgesic muscle relaxing spray like Volini unless otherwise contraindicated.
- Get physically examined and investigated to rule out any medical problems and treat them accordingly.
- Avoid stress-strain exertion, lifting heavy weights, rigorous exercise etc.
