Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a mark on my back for years, but today it has made me more nervous when I searched on the internet. The internet says it is Nevus spilus. I have had this patch on my back for years, but I have never been too worried before as I never searched on the internet. It used to be more, but has reduced. I am worried and want to discuss with a specialist dermatologist ideally. What do you think about this? I hope it is nothing serious. I have attached the photographs with it.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for the query. The photographs you have sent seem to be a congenital nevus (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). These usually are benign. There is nothing to worry about except for cosmetic purposes (if you consider it so). Please watch it over a period for an increase in size or change in texture or color. Usually, they do not require any treatment. If needed, a dermoscopic examination or biopsy may be done for diagnosis. However, you can consult your dermatologist for examination and management.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have booked a face to face appointment with an determatologist but the earliest appointment is a month away. I mean this is what I think that it could be Nevus spilus. What do you think? And from the looks of it. Do you think is it anything serious? How long does it to take to recover from what I have?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is good you have fixed an appointment with a dermatologist. It appears to be congenital nevus or Nevus spilus. In my opinion, usually smaller size are benign. You just need to keep a watch on it. Otherwise, just observation is enough.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

From the photographs, is it anything serious to be worried about?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, It is not serious. But better consult once again. Keep watching it as and when required.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the response. I have a slight thin vertical line on my right foot. I saw my general physician, and he said it is nothing concerning, but again internet says otherwise. Can you review this for me, please?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I suppose the line on the toenail may be due to any minor injury or minor deficiencies. There is nothing to worry about. Maintain hygiene. Keep an eye on it too.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had these marks on my private area for a very long time. Just wondering this is anything to worry about?

Hi,

Welcom back to icliniq.com.

I do not see any thing or lesions in the photos to worry about.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the response. I have marked the area in the photograph attached.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

This appears to be a mole or a hyperpigmented lesion. Nothing to worry about.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
