Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. The rate of increase in head circumference is 0.79 inches per month in the first three months. With this formula, your baby's head circumference is fine. More details of birth history are needed to explain your other doubts.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You had mentioned 13.39 inches circumference of the head at birth which is 14.17 inches at one month. This corresponds to a 0.79 inches increase in one month. In case any further clarification is needed, he has to be examined, and more birth details are required.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Was there any birth injury like crying was delayed or ICU (Intensive Care Unit) treatment needed after birth? With insufficient details and lack of direct communication between us, it is not possible to give you a detailed answer. Hence it is advisable to see a pediatrician personally and have him checked up. Update me with further details.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is less than normal at 14.57 inches. However, provide me with the details I have asked for. Was it normal delivery and did the baby cry immediately after delivery?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The baby needs to be thoroughly examined for latent infection by testing C-reactive protein (CRP) and other blood tests like culture. I have a feeling that your measurement of head circumference could be incorrect. Have the baby examined by the pediatrician. I hope this helps.

Thank you.
