Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I had been in contact with a sex worker about five to six weeks ago. I had protected sex with a condom but not protected with oral sex. After that, I did wash my genitals with diluted antiseptic. On the next day, I started experiencing pain inside my penis and in the left testicle area. I got HIV RNA, VDRL (venereal disease research laboratory), herpes IgG, chlamydia, and gonorrhea tested around the 20th day after exposure and all the tests came out negative. I even did another IgG for herpes at four to five weeks and it was also negative. But even with all these tests, no lesion of any sort, I still feel the pain in my penis sometimes but it comes and goes. What could be the reason? Please suggest.
Thank you.
