It is a condition that occurs during pregnancy where the level of amniotic fluid is very low than normal for the child’s gestational age. Many factors cause this condition, such as diabetes, hypertension, congenital anomalies (affecting the baby’s kidneys or urinary tract), complications in the placenta, and dehydration. It occurs around the last three months of pregnancy.
