This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My 1-month-old baby has a mouth ulcer on the tongue. The baby cries while feeding, and sometimes there is light milky urine at the end of urination. The current medication includes Vitamin D3 and Gudcef drops given four days ago.

Kindly help.

Based on your description, there may be a fungal infection. I suggest applying Candid (Clotrimazole) mouth cream.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

It is a 1-month-old baby, sir. Are there any drops or gels that can be used for the mouth ulcer? Also, there are times when the urine becomes milky at the end.

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Candid (Clotrimazole) mouth cream is suitable for infants; it is not like the usual cream. Provide additional water through spoon feeding.

Thank you.
