Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I would like to start a paleo diet for my husband who is obese. He is not a diabetic or hypertensive. He does not take any medications. He eats a mixed diet. I have enclosed his recent test reports with this.
Kindly suggest a diet plan for him.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
I have gone through your query. Your husband has the following:
Increased fructosamine.
Increased total cholesterol.
Increased uric acid.
Increased creatinine.
Low eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate).
High hs-CRP (c reactive protein).
High homocysteine.
Low vitamin D, B12, and iron.
Because of high hs-CRP, it is not advisable to start the LCHF (low-carb, high-fat) diet right away. Let us improve kidney function first.
Please take the following medications for one month.
Take capsule Neuro D3 (vitamin D) 60000 IU every alternate day after breakfast.
Take tablet Q Rami 5 mg (Ramipril) after breakfast and lunch.
Take tablet Nefguard (NAC and Taurine) after breakfast and lunch.
Take tablet Quogress (omega-3, CoEz Q10, vitamin E) after breakfast and lunch.
Take tablet Nuhenz (B1, B6, B12, FA, myo inositol, chromium polynicotinate) after breakfast and lunch.
Take a tablet of Ferrizac (ferrous ascorbate 100 mg and folic acid 1.5 mg) after breakfast and lunch.
Consult a specialist, talk to them, and take medications with their consent.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
