Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have the signs of PPP around my penis. I am worried very much because I am just 18 years old. Can it be cured naturally before becoming big? Should I consult a doctor or apply any cream? Waiting for your reply.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen your query and concern.

With your descriptions, it seems you have pearly penile papules. In that case, there is nothing to worry about, as most STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) are ruled out. These are just dilated glands on the penile shaft, known as Fordyce spots or syringoma (overgrowth of sweat gland cells). No treatment is required for them as they are benign and may decrease or settle down with time. Also, they are harmless. If you want to get them treated for cosmetic reasons, you may ask your local dermatologist for radiofrequency laser sessions.

Hope this addresses your concern.

Regards.
