How can I avoid germs?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Kindly tell me how to avoid germs. I am looking for any general advice on how to avoid pathogens, and anything we do that carries a lot of germs, like using an ATM machine.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Out of the many things is the mobile phone we carry. We usually keep it at a lot of places exposing it to germs, so we need to wipe it with alcoholic solutions at least once in two days.

Pens: This is also kept in pockets and outside on the desk and people also have a habit of biting or licking the opposite side of the pen which does carry a lot of germs. Counting notes or sorting papers, we usually lick our fingers to help count currency or separate papers.
