Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 33-year-old female. I am not married. I have been dealing with PCOS for a long time. A few weeks ago, I went to my doctor, and she discovered an ovarian cyst. It is insignificant but appears to have grown a little larger, approximately half an inch, as shown in the photo. Gynera is currently in my second month of use. I missed my period last month; I only noticed a few small crimson fragments in the toilet. So, I am concerned about this cyst and want to know if it will shrink till it disappears. My doctor informed me that the tablets will be changed to Yasmin next month. I would like to get another opinion on this. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

The photograph depicts a 48 mm-sized cyst, which appears to be primarily basic (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). You must maintain taking medications for three months. It is treatable with medications. After two months, you can have a repeat scan. You should be on the lookout for discomfort since it might twist around the ovarian ligament and pedicle.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
