Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am trying to conceive, but I have had PCOS/PMOS for two years. My menstrual cycle lasts from 32 to 35 days. I reduced my weight from 154 pounds to 126 pounds. I changed to a healthy diet. The following is my diet for the day.
I have been on this diet for three months now. What should I do to conceive?
Please help me.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome)/PMOS (polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) is a condition in which multiple cysts form in the ovary along with acne and weight gain. It is a very good sign that you have reduced your weight to 126 pounds, which in itself removes many of the complications of PCOS/PMOS, like diabetes mellitus.
Hormonal changes, which are a part of PCOS/PMOS, may cause some difficulty in conceiving. But there are treatments available to help in this process.
I suggest you consult a gynecologist.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.
