Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am taking MCBM 69 tablet. I have PCOS/PMOS and planning to get conceived. I see brown or red spotting daily. I have done an ultrasound and serum prolactin. I have serum prolactin of 20.08 ng/mL. On my ultrasound, both the ovaries are normal with immature follicles along the periphery. My right ovary is 11.00 cc and my left ovary is 10.9 cc. My uterus shows 7.0 x 3.0 x 3.5 cc. I have an endometrium with a thickness of 5 mm. My cervix is normal without fluid in the pod.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

PCOS/PMOS (polycystic ovarian disease/Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) is treated by following an active lifestyle and dietary modification. Please mention your weight and last menstrual period to give you an appropriate answer.

Along with MCBM 69 (Folic acid, Methylcobalamin, and Pyridoxine), you need to do walking or any other modality of exercise to remain active. Have a healthy diet with fruits and vegetables.

Reduce intake of carbohydrates, fats, and fried items. Regarding spotting, you need to rule out pregnancy first by doing a urine pregnancy test. If the pregnancy test is negative and the spotting continues, then it has to be treated by taking medicines to regularize the cycles.
