Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
For the past three days, I have been experiencing pain and burning in my penis. I have undergone CBC and urine tests, and the results returned normal. Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
Yes, the tests are entirely regular. Please help me with a few details so that I can understand what is going on:
Are you diabetic or hypertensive?
Have you had any surgeries in the past?
Do you have difficulty passing urine, such as urgency, increased frequency, straining to pass urine, feeling of incomplete bladder emptying, or a weak stream?
Are you sexually active or masturbating regularly? If yes, how many times a week?
Do you experience any pain when you ejaculate?
Please revert with the details, and I will do my best to assist you.
I hope this helps.
Please revert in case of further queries.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for your reply.
I am not diabetic or hypertensive, and I have not had any surgeries in the past. While I do not have any issues passing urine, I have noticed that when I increase my water intake, I tend to urinate more frequently, typically once every two hours. I do not experience any problems with incomplete bladder emptying or a weak stream. Regarding my sexual habits, I masturbate once a week and do not experience any pain during ejaculation, although I do feel discomfort afterward on occasion, but not always. Currently, I am feeling discomfort in my penis and occasionally in the lower part of my stomach near the base of the penis.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
A component of prostatitis (prostatic infection) may be involved. To further investigate, I suggest the following tests:
Ultrasound KUB (kidneys, ureters, and bladder).
Uroflowmetry.
Semen culture and sensitivity.
While awaiting these tests, I suggest to follow the following advice:
Drink at least 101.44 fluid ounces of water a day.
Ejaculate at least two to three times a week.
Avoid prolonged periods of sitting; try to stand up for a few minutes every hour or so to rest your perineal area.
Please revert to me with the test results so we can determine the appropriate medications to start.
I hope this helps.
Please revert in case of further queries.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for your reply.
I have completed my USG KUB. Could you please review the results and recommend some medication?
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
You must complete the other two tests as well. Only then can we determine the appropriate medications to start you on. More prudent approaches exist than relying on the ultrasound report for treatment. Please revert to the results of the other tests and begin following the advice I have provided in our previous conversations.
I hope this helps.
Please revert in case of further queries.
Thank you.
