Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My wife's liver had symptoms of inflammation from a PET (positron emission tomography) scan that was done four months ago this year and a PET scan taken last month. Could you first recommend some non-invasive testing to see if the liver inflammation is still present? Second, what can be done to make it normal as before inflammation? I have included the two PET scan reports.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Do not be alarmed; fatty liver disease may have a number of reasons, including obesity, the metabolic syndrome, or drugs. Obtain a fibroscan and a SGPT (serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase) to learn your level of non-invasive liver fibrosis. Take 400 mg of capsule Evion (vitamin E) once daily.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
