Phenylephrine

Phenylephrine, an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist, is sold as a decongestant to relieve stuffy nose and congested sinus that can result from a common cold, allergies, and hay fever. But it can also be used to dilate the pupil (while an eye examination), relieve hemorrhoids, and increase blood pressure (treat hypotension).
