Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My pelvic TVS (transvaginal scan) shows mass-free fluid in a pod, is it dangerous? My HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) level is 636.8. Does this indicate pregnancy?
Please help. Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
I would like to see your scan reports to know where is the mass situated. HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) of 636.8 shows pregnancy. The mass could be an ectopic pregnancy or an inflammatory mass, or an endometriotic cyst. Free fluid could be due to infection or ectopic pregnancy.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor, thank you so much for the reply.
Three months back I had an ovarian ectopic pregnancy and underwent surgery. Is it safe to conceive now? The reports you had asked for are uploaded.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your reports and I would like to know the date of the last menstrual period. As of now, the ultrasound is not showing any evidence of intrauterine or ectopic pregnancy but beta HCG is showing your pregnancy. It could be a very early pregnancy. Once you have had an ectopic pregnancy three months back chances of having ectopic pregnancy again are increased. So before going on with the pregnancy make sure that the pregnancy is intrauterine, not ectopic. Which can be ruled out only on a repeat ultrasound.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
