Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have had rashes on my feet for a few years. I have been consulting dermatologists many times, and nothing ever seems to help. Now I have spots on my hands too. It looks like so many different things. I have hyperhidrosis. I often get this rash on my feet because I cannot change my socks or air my feet frequently. It has been an enormous problem, and now I have similar rashes on my hands.
Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
Well, you have eczema or dermatitis right now, and I do understand that, at some times, it becomes difficult to treat. Moreover, dry and cracked skin allows the different chemicals to get absorbed. Please keep your hands and feet well-lubricated. I suggest the following.
1. Keep on applying petroleum jelly two to three times a day.
2. Avoid using soap or detergents as much as you can.
3. Use a creamy moisturizing lotion.
4. Do not use antiseptic liquids to clean the area.
5. Apply Tacrolimus ointment two times a day for 14 days. Consult your specialist doctor, talk with them, and use medications with their consent.
Thank you.
