Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 31-years-old. I have been suffering from rashes, skin redness, and itchy skin. Please advice medicine.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

It appears to be prurigo simplex or pregnancy-induced itching. Take a tablet of Polaramine (Dexchlorpheniramine maleate) 2 mg once daily after dinner for 10 days (if itching at present). Consult a specialist, and take medicines with their consent.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

Will it affect the breastfeeding baby?

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

No, it would not affect the baby. A possible diagnosis is atopy due to epidermal barrier dysfunction.

  1. Avoid chronic rubbing and scratching.
  2. Avoid known triggers fragrance, containing cosmetics, and use of harsh soaps.
  3. Use a ceramide-based moisturizer.
  4. Use mild soaps.
  5. The diet should contain anti-oxidants, zinc, vitamins, and omega-3 fatty acids.
  6. Avoid stress or anxiety.
  7. Physiogel hypoallergic lotion (Hydroxyethylcellulose) after a bath can be used.
  8. Maintain proper hygiene.
  9. Stay hydrated and healthy.
  10. A well-balanced, nutritious diet and exercise are going to help.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
