Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Upon review of your reports (attachment removed to protect patient's identity) these were the findings-

A female patient aged 32 years old complains of retained deciduous teeth with resorbed roots in the anterior region, also teeth with caries as on radiography and retained roots.

Treatments that can be done as follows:

  1. For retained deciduous teeth - Extraction followed by missing tooth replacement or aligning permanent tooth into the missing tooth region.

  2. For teeth with caries - Restoration by an excavation of caries, followed by cavity and restoration - if pulp involvement then RCT.

  3. For retained roots - Extraction is suggested. The conservative approach would be if the roots are not mobile, intact, and investing bone and soft tissue intact and CEJ level, then post and core.

Provisional diagnosis can be retained deciduous teeth with resorption of roots, teeth caries, and retained roots as in OPG (orthopantomogram).

Differential diagnosis can be done only through a clinical evaluation.

Diagnostic tests to be done are clinical reviews for oral hygiene status.

Treatment options include extraction, replacement, or aligning of missing teeth region, and teeth caries restoration.

The prognosis is fair.

I hope you find this information helpful.

Thank you.
