Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old boy. I want to ask why I do not experience pleasure when I ejaculate. How can I treat it?

Answered by Dr. Raveendran S R

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq, and thank you for choosing us as your provider for health care.

I have gone through all your details and can understand your concern.

This can be due to:

  1. Infections: It could be a result of a urinary infection (conduct a urine complete test and a pelvic ultrasound for diagnosis).
  2. Diabetes and hypertension: Ensure that blood pressure and blood sugar levels are under control. If already on medication, please share the medication name.
  3. Hormonal disturbances: Low testosterone, low levels of thyroid, and high levels of prolactin. Check for thyroid function test (TFT), prolactin, and testosterone.
  4. Obesity: Plan for regular exercise and yoga.
  5. High cholesterol: Check the lipid profile and plan for regular exercise.
  6. Chronic disease or on any chronic medication. Please share details.
  7. Anxiety can also cause libido issues.

Need to do the following investigations:

  1. Pelvic ultrasound (USG pelvis) to rule out pelvic infection.
  2. Thyroid check-up including free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone).
  3. Lipid profile to determine cholesterol levels.
  4. Blood pressure (BP).
  5. Random blood sugar (RBS).

Kindly share more details regarding the above reasons so we can work on identifying the cause and planning the treatment. I suggest you use tablet Mildfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice a day as a temporary solution. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take the medicines with their consent.

I hope this has helped you. Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.

Thank you.
