Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
How can I go about low sex drive? I do not have feelings for sex at all and it is affecting me. Kindly suggest to me what to do.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern. Low Libido has the following reasons:
1. Infections – can be due to urine infection (can do urine complete and ultrasound of pelvis) to diagnose the cause.
2. Diabetes, hypertension – make sure blood pressure and blood sugar are under control. If you are already on medication, share the medication name.
3. Hormonal disturbances- Low testosterone, low levels of thyroid, high levels of prolactin, check for TFT (thyroid function test), Prolactin, testosterone levels.
4. Obesity - plan for regular exercise and yoga.
5. High cholesterol – check for lipid profile and plan for regular exercise.
6. Chronic disease or on any chronic medication. Kindly share details if any.
7. Anxiety can also cause libido issues.
Things to do:
1. USG (ultrasonogram) pelvis to rule out pelvis infection.
2. Thyroid check-up free T3, T4, TSH (thyroid stimulating factor).
3. Lipid Profile to know cholesterol level.
4. Blood Pressure.
5. RBS ( random blood sugar level).
Kindly Share more details regarding the above reason, so we can work on the cause and treatment. I suggest using the tablet Mildfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice a day as a temporary solution. I hope I have cleared all your doubts.
Thank you.
