Hello doctor,
I am concerned about my health. I am 33 now. I have been experiencing this intense pain and rash on my left thigh for the past three days, and I am starting to worry it might be shingles. Is there anything I can do to alleviate the symptoms, and is there a vaccine I should consider getting to prevent this from happening again? How do I get tested for this?
Please tell me ways to get rid of these symptoms soon.

Shingles are viral infections caused by Herpes simplex and are often related to immune suppression and transmitted by oral (herpes labialis, by kissing, HS type 1 ) and genital (sexual, type 2). In case you have any such exposure and lesions around these areas, please detail them.
Herpes zoster can be present elsewhere in the body as a reinvigoration of a dormant varicella infection (previous chicken pox or herpes zoster). In case you had previous chicken pox or herpes zoster and any reasons suggesting immune suppression, such as viral infections like Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), dialysis, organ transplants, cancer, etc., please share this detail.
