What dark skin care routine should I follow?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a dark-complexioned person with the age of 31 years, and I am happy with my natural appearance, but all my family members have fair complexions except me. Sometimes it is disbalancing my confidence. It is my request.

Kindly suggest to me some face wash or face cream that helps me get a little enhancement in my complexion. But please, steroid-free.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Start using sunscreen like Suncote 30 SPF or Face Guard 30 SPF daily twice, morning and afternoon, over the full face, applying as a thin layer. Rejuvix gel (Glycolic acid, kojic acid, Arbutin) is applied at night regularly, and it is safe.

Tablet Limcee (Vitamin C 500 mg) twice daily for three months. The response will come slowly, but have patience, and these creams are safe. If you want a little faster result, you can try chemical peeling.

I hope this helps you.

Take care.
