This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 27 years old. It looks like my right testicle sperm cord got thickened. Something bubble-like swelling appearing near the right testis when touched that area. Kindly help me on this issue. I am not able to concentrate on other works due to this.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thickening of the right cord cause on and off pain. There are few causes mainly inflammation. On long term inflammation cause thickening and fibrosis of the cord and can create pain and discomfort. Chronic inflammation can be simple due to recurring infection or could be atypical like tuberculosis. Investigations: Need to do urine for analysis, culture, and AFB (acid-fast bacillus). In addition, if a semen sample can be provided for AFB it will be great. Please get back to me after investigations to give you the right treatment. At the moment for pain relief, you can use tablet Ibubrufen 400 mg trice daily with tablet Oomeprazole 20 mg once at night.
