Did my girlfriend infect me with Chlamydia and Neisseria?

Hi doctor,

My girlfriend and I have been together for 614 days and have had sexual intercourse recently on a few occasions. Shortly after, she began having these symptoms:

Heavy white-yellowish discharge.
Slight hypogastric discomfort.
Pinkish discharge, with blood.
Menstrual-like lower back pain.
Nausea.
Painful urination.
Loss of appetite.

During one of our recent sexual encounters, she had pain, and we had to stop. A few days later, I developed a purulent discharge. I got tested, and the results were positive for:

Chlamydia (CT value: 10.44).
Neisseria (CT value: 24.7).

I am having a hard time processing this. I want to believe she has been faithful.

Please help me understand a few of my questions.

Who is likely to have passed the infection?
Is it possible for either of these infections to stay latent for over 614 days?

Please advise.

Regarding your symptoms, I believe your partner has developed bacterial vaginosis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis, which is a bacterial organism that is spread by sexual activity.

Regarding who infected whom, it may be pretty difficult to ascertain at this moment because the bacteria may have originated from the toilet and been transmitted to both of you by intercourse. So the infection may have remained in the host person for those 614 days, being asymptomatic, which has now become known by manifesting with vaginal discharge, painful intercourse, and urination.

Please let her do a high vaginal and endocervical swab test and reply to me with the result for confirmation.

Both of you should take the following:

Injection Ceftriaxone 1000 mg.
Two tablets of Doxycycline 100 mg orally twice daily for two weeks.
Two tablets of Metronidazole 400 mg orally thrice daily for two weeks.

Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent.
