Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 22-year-old male and have noticed black spots appearing on my hands, three pimples on my face, and two pimples on my testicles.
Two months ago, I had unprotected sex but did not experience any illness. Last week, I also changed my body lotion, so I am unsure what is causing these symptoms. Should I get tested?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Please share a clear picture of the affected area so I can guide you better.
Since you had unprotected sexual contact, we need to rule out sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Please do the following tests:
TPHA (Treponema pallidum hemagglutination).
Herpes simplex virus (HSV) 1 and 2: NAAT(Nucleic acid amplification test ) or RT-PCR(Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction).(Do not check HSV IgG; it is not useful for diagnosis.)
Urine PCR(polymerase chain reaction) for Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
HIV(Human immunodeficiency virus) 4th Generation Antigen/Antibody screening.
HBsAg(Hepatitis B surface antigen).
Urine complete analysis, urine culture, and sensitivity.
CBC(Complete blood count) and ESR(Erythrocyte sedimentation rate).
If there is significant itching (suggestive of fungal infection):
Apply Candid-B ointment locally twice daily.
Cetirizine (Cetzin), one tablet at night for itching.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.
Thank you.
