Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My 7-year-old son, ate a chicken burger and has been complaining of vomiting and stomach pain. We visited a pediatrician on the evening. The pediatrician prescribed ORS, Ziprax syrup, and Tufpro suspension. We have been giving him these medicines, and he is showing improvement, but he is still complaining of stomach pain.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.
I do understand your concern.
If possible, please consider getting an ultrasound of the abdomen to rule out any internal issues. Have you been experiencing diarrhea or vomiting? Your responses to these questions will help me provide more specific guidance. Wishing you good health.
We look forward to serving you once more and invite you to contact us whenever you need a professional medical opinion.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
No diarrhea. He had semi-solid stools on the, with multiple bowel movements (5 to 6 times) and two episodes of vomiting, followed by one episode. He has been experiencing mild to severe pain in the area around his belly button. Additionally, he reports experiencing discomfort after consuming water or ORS (oral rehydration solution). Since then we have been providing him with a bland diet consisting of items like idly and curd rice. An ultrasound has not been conducted yet. Could you please provide guidance on the specifics of the ultrasound that should be performed?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.
Thanks for your follow up question on icliniq.
Certainly, consider scheduling an abdominal ultrasound to eliminate any potential internal issues. If the ultrasound results appear normal, there is no need for undue concern. The pain should gradually alleviate. Cyclopam (Dicycloverine Hydrochloride) syrup can be taken to alleviate discomfort.
