Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a redness on my face whenever I go out in the sunlight. Please suggest any medicine to improve my skin. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to iclinq.com.

I can understand your concern.

You may have sun allergy or photosensitivity. In case of mild symptoms, I suggest you either apply cool compresses (such as a cool, damp washcloth) to the areas of itchy rash or mist your skin with sprays of cool water. You can also try a nonprescription oral (by mouth) antihistamine such as Diphenhydramine or Chlorpheniramine to relieve itching or a cream containing Cortisone. For more severe symptoms, increase the dose of oral antihistamine or Corticosteroid cream. If these remedies are not effective, visit any skin specialist. He may prescribe phototherapy, a treatment that produces hardening by gradually exposing your skin to increasing doses of ultraviolet light.

I hope this helps you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
