Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am suffering from a severe headache, tenderness on the head, burning sensation on scalp, mild dizziness, and feeling the heaviness of head with restricted neck movement with pain. Currently, I am taking Levothyroxine 25 mcg for hypothyroidism.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read carefully your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to tension-type headaches or a cervical spine disorder (a bulging disc or a wrong posture). Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician and performing a cervical spine X-ray study, a complete blood count for anemia and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for inflammation. If the above test results are normal, tension-type headache remains the main possible cause. In such case, a local muscle relaxant ointment in the neck and painkillers are the main treatment. I recommend also trying to correct your posture.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
