Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am suffering from a severe headache, tenderness on the head, a burning sensation on the scalp, mild dizziness, and the heaviness of the head with restricted neck movement and pain. Currently, I am taking Levothyroxine 25 mcg for hypothyroidism.
Kindly guide.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your question carefully and would explain that your symptoms could be related to tension-type headaches or a cervical spine disorder (a bulging disc or a wrong posture). Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician and performing a cervical spine X-ray study, a complete blood count for anemia , and a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for inflammation. If the above test results are normal, tension-type headache remains the main possible cause. In such a case, a local muscle relaxant ointment in the neck and painkillers are the main treatment. I also recommend trying to correct your posture.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reach out in case of further queries.
Thank you.
