How to treat low TSH levels?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I feel unstable when I walk, especially while doing any activity. I get easily tired, like I need to rest or sit. I think my mind is blurry. I cannot focus, and I cannot talk to people normally. I feel anxious, stressed, and lazy all the time. I sleep well and eat healthy, but still, I feel there is no energy or motivation at all to do anything. When I try to go out and exercise, I get so tired. I checked my vitamins, and all were good, like vitamin D and B12, but all that started when my iron level was low. I had anemia about a year ago. I took Iron injections for like three months, and I checked, and it got better. I am still feeling tired, but it has been a year now, and I still feel not fine. I recently checked TSH, and it is 2450 uIU/mL. Is it low? Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

I am sorry about your medical condition and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. Regarding your symptoms and results, sent for TSH level, I strongly believe you have developed autoimmune thyroiditis, which can cause hypothyroidism, which is why you are always tired. Although your previous low iron may also contribute to low movement, this may have been corrected. Please take the following: two tablets of Dexamethasone 4 mg for one week and two tablets 100 mcg for two weeks.

Reply to me if you have more concerns or questions by scheduling a direct appointment or follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
