Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have thyroid. I have attached my reports. I have been getting tired while talking and have also gained weight. Please tell me, how can I handle this?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for your query.
After reviewing your information and reports (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), it can be confirmed that you have a thyroid hyperfunctioning condition called Graves disease. There are multiple treatment options available, including medications, surgery, and radioactive ablation of the thyroid. You are currently taking Favistan (antithyroid) 20 mg and Propranolol (beta blocker) 40 mg. Both are the correct and recommended medicines for the management of your thyroid condition. I would recommend a blood test to check on your progress in 6 months. If you have any symptoms in the interim, please visit the nearest emergency center for medical assistance.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
