Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have enlarged circumvallate papillae from the last 45 days. How do I get rid of it? What medicines are suggested?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Normally, circumvallate papillae are enlarged structures at the base of the tongue. So it is normal to have enlarged papillae and it does not need any treatment especially if you do not have any symptoms like pain, swallowing difficulty, etc. Also, there is unlikely to be any abnormalities in them as it is unchanged since last 45 days.
You upload the picture of those papillae so that I can confirm. However, with a sore throat, it may appear bulky and slightly enlarged but it settles down after it is treated, and you already took Amoxicillin for that.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.

Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
It causes mild discomfort. What should be done to make them normal?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I suggest doing Betadine gargles four times a day and having tablet Pan DSR (Pantoprazole and Domperidone) 40 mg before breakfast once a day for five days. All the best.
