Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 32-year-old male, and I underwent a blood test three days back. I have attached the reports. The levels of TSH (Thyroid-stimulating hormone) were a little bit low. I am concerned about the values and would like to have a prescription for a complete thyroid blood test. Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Low TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) levels usually indicate hyperthyroidism which could be caused by thyroid malfunction or exogenous levothyroxine administration. I advise you to follow the below-mentioned instructions:

  1. Repeat your blood test for TSH levels along with free T4 and thyroid antibodies (anti-TPO and anti-Tg).
  2. Get an ultrasound scan of the thyroid.

I would like to know the answers to the following questions as you have not mentioned anything about your medical history.

  1. Are you taking any medications?
  2. Are you using Levothyroxine (synthetic form of thyroxine (T4))?

Kindly consult a specialist for the prescription as it cannot be given online.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
