Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am full-term pregnant and found in the ultrasound that the baby had three loops of cord around the neck. Can I try for normal delivery?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and understood your concern.
I suggest you take a trial of labor with continuous monitoring of fetal heart rate with an NST (non-stress test) machine to check any changes in rate and rhythm with contraction. If your consent is there, then one will advise you to try for at least four hours. but there is a chance of fetal distress and a dip in heart rate while contractions. There is a possibility of normal delivery with proper equipment for fetal heart rate monitoring.
I hope this has helped you.
Thanks and regards.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thanks for your reply.
Can artificial pain be induced?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I suggest you wait till natural labor pain starts. I am not saying go for induction. When you are in labor pain, monitoring your fetal heart rate is necessary.
I hope this has helped you.
Thanks and regards.
