Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I missed my periods by ten days, and since the last four days, there has been a transparent watery discharge from the vagina with a foul smell. Please help.

Hi doctor,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Delayed periods are associated with different issues like hormonal abnormalities, pregnancy, or stress.

Were you sexually active during the last month or last couple of weeks? If the answer is no, then pregnancy is not the cause. If you were, then I would suggest you get a pregnancy test done at home with the help of the available kits in the market. If it comes negative, then repeat it after a week or two. If it still comes negative, then consult a gynecologist in person. Are you on any medications currently? Sometimes this can happen due to some medications.

So wait for another week or two, and even after that, if you do not get your periods, seek medical help from a gynecologist. She will examine you and suggest appropriate medicines to induce the periods if required.

Hope this helps. Feel free to contact me for any further queries in the future.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
