How to manage vaginal tears that can happen during intercourse and masturbation?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have noticed vaginal tears every time I have intercourse and sometimes during masturbation. I have been treated for vaginal fungus (candida) several times, and it might be one of the causes of vaginal dryness even though I have been treated for it. I also got vaginal tests such as PAP Smear and vaginal ultrasounds and they show abnormality with the pelvic floor or cervix. This is becoming inconvenient for both me and my partner. I use a lot of lubrication knowing that this might happen and yet it does not prevent it from happening. What can be done to get rid of vaginal tears? Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Based on the description, it can be a nonhealing tear, associated with mixed infection or due to a deficiency of vitamins and minerals, lack of exercise, or lack of proper sleep. I advise you to follow the below mentioned instructions.

  1. Avoid all sexual activities including masturbation for a few weeks to heal completely.
  2. Take plenty of water daily.
  3. Clean the vagina with vaginal wash regularly.
  4. Take a capsule of itraconazole 200 mg and a tablet of Bilastine for seven days.
  5. Take a capsule of text-SL (doxycycline) twice a day on the first day and one per day from 2nd day onwards and continue it for seven days.
  6. Take a tablet of multivitamins for seven days.
  7. Put Clingen (Clindamycin and Clotrimazole) vaginal tablets inside one per day for three days.
  8. Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take the medications with their consent.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
