Can long-term use of Clobazam cause any side effects?

Hello doctor,

My son is 3.5 years old; studying in kindergarten. He has been diagnosed with benign childhood epilepsy. There is an epileptic form discharge of 8 Hz spikes from his right occipital lobe. His MRI and CT scan reports came normal. He feels involuntary movements in his left leg when he is in a conscious state. At times when the epileptic form discharge gets severe, he loses balance and falls down. This tends to happen once in a week. With medication he is fine. We consulted a neurologist and epileptologist. Doctor has prescribed him tablet Topamac 50 mg to be taken twice a day and tablet Lobazam 10 mg for a period of three months. Will there be any side effects with long-term use of tablet Lobazam? I am very concerned. Please guide me.

I get unusual headaches and vertigo with migraine. Is CT or MRI required for further diagnosis?

Hello doctor,

For the past eight months or so, I have had some problems with unusual headaches and sort of momentary feelings of lightheadedness, vertigo but it is like everything just shifts for a second instead of spinning. I have a background of stable migraine headache. I have had some face pressure as well and some momentary stabbing headaches. Some chronic low-grade nausea that can disappear for weeks at a time and is not usually accompanied by a headache. I went through the gamut with general practitioner (GP), he then referred me to an ear, nose, and throat (ENT), and then to a neurologist. I am still getting some headaches but have had a clear computed tomography (CT) scan of sinuses. A full neurological exam was done and that was normal, and the neurologist did not seem to think that additional imaging (MRI) was needed because my exam was normal. Even though it was a CT scan of the sinuses, they would have seen the brain (particularly frontal lobe) and notified of any abnormalities they could see. I had a clear magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) approximately one year ago for some twitching and muscle pain. Do you agree that further examination is not warranted? In other words, with the above information is a structural problem unlikely?

What are the ways to treat muscle fatigue?

Hello doctor,

For months, I felt uninspired to use the treadmill. It was indicated two months ago that other preoccupations were keeping me from exercising. As a result, I began to work out. However, after two months, I can only walk at a sluggish pace for a short period. My muscles inform me if I walk more the next day. My vitamin D, CBC, salt, potassium, and magnesium levels are all extremely common. I do not have any respiratory issues. But it has to be a muscular problem. Can you suggest a reason and treatment?

Please help.
