Can strabismus surgery correct my eye squint?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I do not think heat stroke has caused your squint. I would definitely like to see pictures where the squint is visible. You seem to be suffering from the alternate divergent squint. The amount of squint is also not much.

Is mild strabismus surgery effective and safe for me?

Hello,Welcome to icliniq.com.It is an elaborate and well-detailed query. Now coming back to the clinical condition, if I am correctly understanding it, your right eye seems to deviate outwards towards your ears only when you try to focus on near objects. Right? But they are straight when looking at the distance. The condition you have is called intermittent divergent squint and it is the near type, i.

Does central vision blurring occur in controlled diabetes?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have gone through the blood reports and the eye reports (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). The blood reports are satisfactory except that PPBS (post-prandial blood sugar) seems a bit high. That needs to be controlled. The eye reports document the reason he sees less with his right eye.

Why am I having liquid in my retina with worsening vision?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. From your query it seems you are suffering from central serous retinopathy or CSR. But I cannot be sure because I have not seen you clinically nor I have seen your OCT Macula test result (if you have). However, it can also be liquid within retina or macular edema. But the worst case scenario is retinal detachment which require urgent surgery.

Can one wear old glasses after retinal detachment surgery?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. You have refractive power of eyes and hence the glass power is likely to change after a RD surgery due to a number of causes. Firstly, the liquid inside your eye is removed (vitrectomy) in retina surgery and replaced by a gas or a silicon oil. All these changes the refractive power of eyes. Anyhow the surgeon will wait atleast a month after surgery to even think of checking eye glass power.

Why am I not able to see colors and lights as bright as before?

Hi, Welcome back to icliniq.com. Your long query does indicate you are quite disturbed about it. Pressure around the neck, head, and eyes are often related to anxiety. So I would suggest you sleep well and even take medication if it helps you sleep peacefully. Still, I would recommend you get your color vision checked and get automated perimetry (AP 24-2) done at an eye hospital.

I have a gray splotch in the center of vision in my right eye. Is this an emergency?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. You have complained about a sudden onset of gray splotch in your central vision of the right eye, which curiously disappears when you see with both eyes. Well, it seems there is definitely a problem in the central or paracentral visual field of your right eye, which is compensated by the normal visual field of your left eye when both eyes are open together. Central or paracentral visual fields can be affected in either optic nerve disease (drug effect/nutritional among many causes) or a lesion of the central part of retina called macula. Though the exact cause cannot be ascertained by online means and in-person examination is a must, I can guide you to get the tests at an eye clinic which includes thorough retina examination including optic nerve and macula, OCT (optical coherence tomography) macula of the right eye and automated perimetry (AP 24-2) both eyes.
