Though I do not have pain, my doctor advised me to get my wisdom out. Is that fine?

Hi,Welcome to icliniq.com.I have gone through the attachment (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Your OPG (orthopantomogram) shows that your lower wisdom tooth is impacted or tilted. They are putting pressure on the other molars. So it is advisable to remove them as soon as possible to prevent further damage to other teeth.

Does Flucloxacillin help in case of a dental abscess?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Firstly, I would like to know if you are sure it is a dental abscess or if it could be another tooth infection. I do not know if you have visited a dentist for this problem. Also, if available, forward me your X-ray or any other investigation reports. If it is a dental abscess, you need to start with warm saline rinses at least five to six times a day for a week.

Can I die from a tooth infection?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. We are here to help you. After going through your complaint and looking at your X-ray, it sounds like a chronic periapical abscess, which is the presence of pus and infection in the affected tooth due to a cavity left untreated. You cannot die due to an acute infection, but you need to get it treated as early as possible to prevent further infection. Since I have not seen the tooth clinically, I would request that you send a picture of the tooth.

What is the procedure for dental implants in place of fixed prosthesis?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Basically, getting implants is a surgical procedure where the dentist would be putting an implant in your bone through a small surgery under local anesthesia. After that you will have to wait for a few months for the implant to osseointegrate inside the bone means it will adapt itself inside the bone like the natural root. After that, there will be a second stage surgery, a very small procedure. After a few months, you will be getting the crown or the artificial tooth permanently.

How to improve my yellow teeth?

Hello,Welcome to icliniq.com.I have gone through your complaint and seen the picture attached to it (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It looks like a case of stains with calculus, which is known in layman's terms as tartar. This can be due to many reasons. For example, not maintaining proper oral hygiene, smoking, excessive intake of tea, coffee, or cold drinks, or drinking fluoridated water.

Why are teeth chipping, cracking, sensitive and sore since pregnancy?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. From the picture which you have sent me (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity), what I can see is that your teeth are not in very good condition. You are suffering from a condition called fluorosis, which is caused due to the excessive deposition of fluoride in the teeth, which ultimately leads to weakening of the tooth enamel and caries. Moreover, your swollen gums could be due to plaque and tartar deposits, leading to gingivitis. My suggestion to you would be to visit a good dentist as soon as possible to get your treatment started.

How to treat yellow teeth and caries from improper brushing?

Hello,Welcome to icliniq.com.Looking at the condition of your mouth (attachment removed to protect patient identity), I can say that you have got a lot of dental problems, like dental caries and discolored teeth with stains and tartar. These problems are causing the bad breath, which is not going to go away with only tooth brushing. What can be done for fluorosis in upper front teeth?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern. As you have mentioned about fluorosis in your two front teeth, you can get it treated either with a procedure called bleaching or you can get veneers, that is, a layer to cover the teeth. You have also mentioned that the front two teeth are moving outside. For that, you can either go for braces or get intentional root canal treatment with a crown on both teeth.

Will occlusion of teeth cause bonding issues in veneers?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. As far as normal occlusion or normal bite is concerned, the upper front teeth should not touch the lower front teeth. There should be a gap of at least one to two millimeters. But sometimes when you are eating or trying to make contact, then it is absolutely normal. This way the bonding is not going to get affected.
