There is reduced mouth opening after wisdom tooth removal. Why?

Hello doctor,

I was put to sleep and had a surgery on all my wisdom teeth to have them removed. It has been three weeks since surgery and I can only put two fingers in my mouth. My bottom wisdom teeth were impacted in my gums and bone that is why it had to be surgically removed. What can I do to get my mouth to open wider? I cannot eat a burger.

Does grinding cause loosening of teeth?

Hi doctor,

I have noticed that my first molar is loose. I keep pushing it with my tongue and clenching a bit against it and I just noticed that it has become loose little more. I have my wisdom teeth and I think it might be applying pressure forward on these teeth. I read in a book that day grinding can cause a teeth to loosen, which is easier to treat. There is no pain and the teeth look healthy. I always clench my teeth but it never caused any looseness.

Can hitting behind molar a bunch of times cause any medical issues?

Hello doctor,

Today after a meal I had some food particles stuck in my top molar all the way in the back. I took my toothbrush and tried to scrub it out real well to get it. While brushing, I put the toothbrush real far back into my mouth to really try and clean that last molar. In the process, I jabbed the back of my mouth behind the molar a few times. A few times while brushing the underside of my tooth and going straight back and a few times brushing the outside of the tooth and accidentally pushing it further past the teeth. What is back there? And can hitting it a bunch of times cause any medical issues? I am a little worried.

What could cause swellings with mild pain on the sides of the tongue?

Hi doctor,

I have a pimple-like growth on the side edges of the backside of my tongue. I do not have much pain, but I can feel the roughness. And that is when I examined and found these pimple-like growths. They are mainly on the right side of the tongue. In addition, I have numbness in the tongue, but there is no pain while swallowing. What could it be?

Please help.
