Are the white dots in my cousin's mouth serious?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern. From the image attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), the most probable diagnosis is initial tonsillitis. However, she might also have these symptoms; difficulty swallowing, swollen and tender glands and lymph nodes on the sides of the neck, bad breath, fever, and chills. Also, there can be tiredness and headache, stomach upset or pain, and enlarged and reddened tonsils with spots of white or yellow pus.

Does grinding cause loosening of teeth?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have gone through your query, and you are having a habit of grinding your teeth during the night, which is called bruxism, and the symptomatic treatment for that is the use of mouth guards. I recommend you visit a dentist and get it checked. Your treatment depends on the grade of mobility. So, I am not quite sure about what grade of mobility you are having.

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have gone through your query, and I understand your concern. Yes, an individual can have gum disease without spitting blood. Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I went through your query and understood your concern. The location of the tongue you are referring to consists of many taste buds which are leaf-like and elongated. Sometimes hypertrophy of the taste buds can be seen. They present as swollen painless eruptions; however, they usually subside on their own.

Is pain in the gums after a temporary crown normal?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern. I have gone through your query, but your chief complaint needs to be completed. So if you can answer a few of my questions, I will be more accurate in my diagnosis. When your tooth got under the procedure of a root canal, was there any pain after that? When did your pain start, and what was the nature of the pain? Did the pain go away itself, or did you take analgesics for that? I do not think that your pain may be because of high points and it can also be because of the gingival tissue that has led to the exposure of bone.

Can a person with missing teeth undergo Invisalign?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I went through your query and understood your concern. If you have an unerupted third molar in the lower two quadrants, then you first have to confirm if they are impacted or if they are yet to erupt. If third molars are impacted, then it is a serious problem and you cannot go for invisible braces. If third molars are not impacted and yet to erupt, then it is not a problem.

Is Colchicine recommended for breast feeding mothers?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Regarding your treatment for oral lichen planus, you need to take a topical corticosteroid and Colchicine is an appropriate treatment for it. I am posting here a study regarding the use of Colchicine by a group of lactating mothers and you can see the results yourself. The National Transplantation Pregnancy registry reports that 124 women with transplants have taken corticosteroid while breastfeeding 169 infants for periods as long as 48 months, with no apparent infant harm. So the gap you are giving in between the morning and day feeding is the best.

There is reduced mouth opening after wisdom tooth removal. Why?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. As per your query, I have gone through it and I came to a provisional diagnosis of trismus (inability to open mouth). This is the diagnosis based on your query and it may not be right. You just need to visit the dentist who removed your molars and you need to go through a clinical examination for your diagnosis. If this might be the case then you need to go through different type of physiotherapy exercises according to the severity of trismus.

Can hitting behind molar a bunch of times cause any medical issues?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have been through your query and as far as I understood I came to a conclusion that if you go far behind your teeth bearing area there is hard and soft tissue which you may injure yourself. The region behind your third molar is hard tissue called ramus of the mandible and soft tissue called tissue covering the bone and ramus. In case you push your toothbrush far behind, you may injure your soft tissue that may result in some feeble pain and a white spot appearance. In that case get a Dologel (Choline salicylate) ointment if it hurts.
